Police Week Limited Edition Shield Challenge Coin

This challenge coin was designed specifically for Police Week in Washington, D.C. — not as a souvenir, but as a symbol of service that continues long after the call ends.

The shield-shaped design is intentional. It reflects protection, responsibility, and the weight carried by those who serve. Unlike traditional round coins, this piece stands apart immediately — a reminder that the work itself is never one-size-fits-all.

The surface carries a raw, stone-like texture, representing grit, resilience, and the unseen wear that builds over a career in law enforcement. It’s not polished smooth on purpose. This coin is meant to feel earned.

Running through both sides is a subtle blue line, illuminated through fractured details in the metal. It represents unity, sacrifice, and the bond shared across agencies and communities — not loud, not flashy, but impossible to ignore.

The front features the Hometown Hero Outdoors mark, surrounded by symbols of land, water, and the outdoors — a reminder that healing doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. The reverse carries the words:

“WHEN THE CALL ENDS, WE’RE STILL HERE.”

That message defines this coin and the mission behind it.

Traditionally, our Police Week challenge coins are only available in person during Police Week. This year, we are opening a limited online preorder for the first time.

All proceeds from this coin go directly back into our mission:
getting law enforcement officers into the outdoors to support mental health, recovery, and reconnection after the weight of the job.

This is a one-time Police Week release.
Once this run closes, this coin will never be produced again.
